LensCulture Project Review

I'm excited to share some insightful words from a project review by LensCulture, the renowned photography platform. In their review of my series 'Secret Garden,' LensCulture beautifully recognises the essence of the images and the intention behind the work:

“The magnificence and mystique of nature are beautifully executed in this strange, enchanting series of pictures. I am excited to see that the pictures portray what the project statement describes. I mean, your fascination with science, philosophy, and metaphysics appears to have found its sanctuary in these luminous pictorial works where reality and fantasy blur into each other.

In regards to the approach, it is evident that you wanted to convey not just what you see but also the emotions that stir within you when you interact with nature. The editing of the pictures, especially through color, underlines a certain intention: memory and feeling are more important than the representation of reality.

The priority of the experience over reality appears to be the content source of the series, as well as the message/sensation you would like your viewers to get from your photographs. Through your lens and vision, ordinary moments in nature become extraordinary impressions and memories about the importance of nature to our well-being.

The beautifully saturated colors and your charisma in finding meaning within a world where chance is the essential principle, ignite a spark within the viewer. The complexity of the form in each frame is also interesting. Without knowing why you selected such complex scenes to express your vision, the more I see them, the more I tend to interpret your intention as a gesture towards our distant past. To the ancient environment of the Savanah where human species thrived.”
